Friday eye candy: Bringing sexy back (yard)

Where did the week go? I feel as if Monday night had percolated directly into Friday morning. Is it only on this side of the world that time is flying by or is it happening where you beautiful readers are as well? I don’t mind when it happens during the week or during cold
weather as in now, it only bothers me during the weekends and summers. I know that in my favorite City a.k.a New York City, summer is coming to an end, while here in Sao Paulo is around the corner so here is a bit of inspiration for those who are soon starting to cover their backs and backyards and for those who are dusting it off instead. Jean Louis Deniot At Home In Capri; A Chic Retreat

I have many places I want to go to, like many but, Capri in Italy is by far on the top of my list. At this point it has moved up to be the tittle of my list, really! I have the thought of me walking down one of its many hilly stoned walkways down to the beach with the air blowing my hair while my feet warm up at the touch of the hot ground. Now, this breath taking beach home in Capri designed by the one and only Jean-Louis Deniot makes my wishes go one step further and of all of a sudden I start thinking how about a vacation home there, even if it’s in a million year? One can dream! Had I not read that Jean-Louis Deniot designed this home I would’ve thought that it was created by nature itself, especially the outside. Enjoy!

Hotel Agua Baru Cartagena: On my travel list

Yesterday my hubby and I were going over our plans for the last trips of the year while researching Cartagena, Colombia, a place I’ve been dying to go to, I came across this amazingly tasteful Hotel Agua Baru in Baru Island, a 45 minutes boat ride off Cartagena city and I was like what…! This amazingly beautiful, stunning, to-die for Hotel is so irresistibly charming that I couldn’t think of anything else to post about today. The entire design and concept of Hotel Agua Baru is so in sync with nature and breath taking that my whole body and mind are itching to go there to breathe in nature at its best and surround myself of beautiful design, just how I like it. Black Interiors

I’ve said before how much I love black in interiors. It literally goes with everything and it can transform any dull-looking room into a more dramatic and glamorous space. It brings dimension to a room. As simple as a black chair or a black sideboard can add drama and elegance to a white or neutral room. Many people believe that by painting walls in black would make the room smaller when actually the opposite can happen when black walls appear to pull back as it shows in the top image. Some people are fortunate and others are even hiper-fortunate. No, I’m
not referring to Oprah and by no means I’m implying that fortune comes as
a celestial gift, rather that it is a result of continuous hard work. I’m
referring to the owners of this gorgeous townhouse in London, designed by Francis Sultana.
Featured in the latest edition of AD, this townhouse’s mayor challenge is its
big size. The owners who are avid art collectors wanted to create a home
for their family rather than a museum. And boy, did they accomplished
it! Enjoy!
