In small doses

I don’t think I would opt for yellow as a wall color. I think it tends to look too serious or too plain colonial when applied on walls, and it could also be too overpowering. But I’m loving the idea of using it as accent color. Because it’s such a strong color it could make a big impact when used in beats and pieces throughout the house or maybe as a very bold wallpaper in a hallway, like in one of the images below.

Not a huge fan of bright clear yellow but do love a more "mellow yellow" all the way down to ochre, which I have used in both living, sun and family room – it's a great neutral.

Yellow is a very happy color. We have a yellow hig-back settee and I don't think I ever want to change the color!

    The doors are magnificent.

    Love to you.

    Oh, yes, yellow!
We posted about it twice, and there is so much more.
Like you said, it must be used in small doses, any room will be perfect.
    Have a happy week.

Yellow definitely brings a pop of color to any room. I think it totally depends on the kind of yellow whether or not I'd put it on a wall. Neon yellow? No way. A golden almost tan yellow, then yes!
