Kitchen of the week: Kitchens decorated for Christmas

I think it is just appropriate for this “kitchen of the week” post to be about kitchens decorated for Christmas.  The first three images belong to Jill Sharp Brinson’s home, Ballard Design’s creative director.   It was featured in the November issue of Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle.  The house was styled with the help of Suzanne Kasler and the result was quite amazing.   Do you see why I declared that my next kitchen needs to have a row of windows above the counter top?… Above is why. This is probably the only kitchen with brushes, sponges and cleaning artifacts displayed that look this good. Do they sell that stuff at Ballard?

I know this is a dining room but it could make a pretty amazing kitchen.
What spectacular windows, no?
I know this big Christmas tree in this kitchen may be a bit over board but it’s also beautiful.

Many people, like myself, prefer to set small buffets around the house for guests to help themselves.  This would be a lovely serving station.

Two undecorated wreath hanging from the windows is just too pretty.
Any simple detail, such as hanging garlands and ornaments off your kitchen window could bring the spirit of Christmas in.

I LOVE the Christmas tree in the kitchen! Can you imagine how wonderful that pine scent would be while you're working in there?

    Lovely post!

So pretty! Love seeing a kitchen all decked out for the holidays and why not..the one room we spend so much time in, might as well make it feel festive too!
