Julie & Ev Launches Signature Linen Collection

Beautifully designed by Julie Paulino, our hand block printed linen collection is made to celebrate being together again.

It’s been a long time coming and our Julie & Ev signature linen collection is finally available. Our hand block tablecloths, placemats, and napkins are printed on 100% cotton by artisans in Jaipur, India. With three different design styles that range from blue and white to pink and neutrals, Julie & Ev hand block print linen collection is sure to delight everyone around the table.

At the table is when we pass our values to our children, share with them our most valuable advice, and celebrate our joyous moments. This linen collection was made to celebrate amongst our loved ones and friends. Whether it is a promptus Sunday brunch, a formal dinner, or a solo dine-in at home, the designs of this Julie & Ev new linen collection is an appreciation of good life.

Introducing Julie and Ev

I am very excited to announce the creation of a long term project I have been working on: an online store focused on bringing artisanal craftsmanship crated from around the globe to your door. Julie and Ev.

Julie and Ev premium tabletop and home decor — A Autumnal Inspired table featuring our Geranium Leaf plate, French Laguiole flatware, rattan wrapped tumbler and many other beauties.

Launched only weeks ago after months of preparation, our own “Julie & Ev” online shop julieandev.com offers high-end, affordable, specially curated tabletops, homeware, linens, vases, centerpieces and decorative items. The overwhelming interest in the store has kept us very busy since then and we would like to thank you all for your support and interest!

Janet de Botton House in Provence

I have posted bits and pieces of Janet de Botton’s house in Provence before, but I think it’s time to post the entire home. The estate located in Les Baux with great views over Les Baux’s barren was published in Vogue a few years back. Janet de Botton and her late husband Gilbert enlisted French decorator and landscape designer Jean-Louis Raynaud and his American partner Kenyon Kramer to create an elegant and sophisticated home with amazing gardens.

The home style is an exercise in restraint and elegance. Although every room is perfect as they are, today I would however update certain areas to make it more relevant. The magnificent gardens on the other hand, I would not alter. The expansive gardens are comprised of an elaborate late-17th-century-style box maze, an allée of more than three-hundred plane trees, an 18th-century Romanesque temple, a grove of ancient Spanish olive trees, a lake framed by apple trees and Japanese maples, a potager and, of course, fields of brilliant lavender.

Live Beautiful: Designing A Chic Al Fresco Dining Space

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed that we’ve been working really hard on our outdoor space, soon to be gardens. At the moment we are working in one area of the backyard to make it into an al fresco dining area. As more states are opening up to businesses, I think my family and I won’t be going to an indoor restaurant anytime soon. Outdoor living has never been more appreciated as in this current moment in history. I put together this chic ensemble for outdoor entertaining, just in case you were looking for some inspiration. 10 Neutral Interiors That Aren’t Boring

I love color… colors are rich, they make us happy, and it’s everywhere in nature. Having said that, I sometimes crave neutral, black, and white spaces for a sense of repose and serenity. There is really no reason for debate: color, as well as style, finds its place every time. A modern home with a modern clean line interior architecture seems to find a better match in a neutral palette while a more traditional interior looks great with color.

This neutral from via Elle Decor has perfect nature stem color, grays, beiges, browns, and white. Although the daybed is striking, I can see it more in a transitional/office lobby space.

Designing A: Pool House Design

I can’t think of a more fitting time than now to start this new series: Designing A, and what is more appealing than starting with a pool house…? As some States are slowly opening up for business, I would think or hope that many people are still maintaining their social distancing outside of their workplace and not going out to public places for a while. In such a case, a pool house beautifully and comfortably designed to escape to would be a real treat.

Like every other part of a house, when it comes to designing it, the process should start like this, addressing the homeowner’s needs aka function, Architecture aka adaptation and sense of belonging, and lifestyle aka style. Of course, in the end, it will all depend on the budget. For the obvious reasons which are fun and creative freedom, we’ll not consider a budget. I’ll design this pool house for a Tuscan style Architecture.
