We can all appreciate the natural and organic texture of rattan. Rattan pieces are more available than ever before. From lighting fixtures to fashionable summer bags made of the natural material. Catching up with its popularity, companies are coming up with more and more rattan products and due to the nature and simplicity of the material, it facilitates for reasonably priced decorative pieces. Although I mostly prefer the charm of vintage rattan pieces instead of new ones, I appreciate the variety and abundance of rattan products available today.

This year I’ve seen a lot of sequin clothes more than ever, from dresses to tops and skirts.  Sequin dresses are ideal for Christmas parties and festive occasions due to its jovial glimmery look.  If the thought of a dress is too much for you, a sequin top with a plain fabric pair of pants or skirt will do just fine.  A sequin skirt paired with a plain top will also look great.  The best part of wearing a glimmery dress is that it requires little effort on the styling side.  High heels, simple jewelry is all you’ll need.

What’s not to love about a sequined silk gown that comes with a bow, maybe the price tag… I know.  But the dress is so beautiful that it would be an investment for those who can afford it.

Louis XVI style chair, dotted fabric

I’m starting to search for our dining chairs, and I’m set Louis XVI style chairs for our dining room.  They look great when paired with either a traditional table or a modern one.  Since they are so elegant and often feature elaborate wood work, they look good a simple side chair in any room of the house.  Louis XVI style, also known as Neoclassical style, is a style period from approximately 1750-1800 characterized by lean, understated lines.  The style came about as a rejection to the ornamentation of the previous Baroque period.

handbags, bags trend, purses

Handbags can be expensive, I know.  Since a big chunk of our salaries gets allocated to purchasing purses and handbags, no one can blame us if we decide not to get on the trend wagon.  Don’t despair yet.  The great thing nowadays is that there are so many great options of handbags from all price points that it’s easier than ever to find purses of good quality which are also in trend.  Then we can invest the more significant money on classic bags that will never go out of style, but for now, we’ll focus on the purse trends this Fall.

All in all, we aren’t really trendy if after evaluating Fall’s best fashion trends, we fail to do the same with the accessories that will spruce up those outfits.  We got our everyday ankle boots covered; now it’s the time for our purse collection to get equal treatment.  This season is offering up bags in unusual shapes, in many different materials from chunky chain handles, lucite and fringes.  The belt bag is still a must for the fashion lady who prefers hand free bags.  A pretty saddle with fringe is always fun and comes with an excellent price tag.

Sweater Weather, sweaters under 300

Sweater Roundup, sweaters under 300

It’s Sweater Roundup time, and it’s time to start thinking about what sweaters to add to our winter clothes repertoire.  In this roundup of sweaters, we are suggesting various styles from oversized chunky ones to classic turtlenecks to striped pullovers because we should all have options when it comes to dressing, right?  Sweaters are to me in cold weather what dresses are to me in Summer; they facilitate getting dress better than any other piece in our wardrobes.  Nothing makes my morning routine easier when getting ready to take my son to school, than putting on a sweater over skinny jeans.  It’s a no-brainer, stylish and comfortable.  I pair the outfit with an ankle boot for Fall and voila!  BTW, a couple of these sweaters from last year are on sale now.
