I prefer rooms that don’t scream a specific theme or era. I’ve been accumulating images of rooms with little influences of Chinoiserie. I love that each of these rooms has just the right amount of Chinoiseire-inspired details that go from padoga chandeliers, lacquered furniture, wallpaper, Chinese figurines, etc.

My dream rental apartment in Paris.

“In the arches of the glorious Place des Vosges, Paris’ oldest square dates back to 1612. Upscale boutiques and restauarants cluster under the arches. Walking distance to Picasso Museum, Carnavelt, Latin Quarter and St.Germain des Pres across the Seine”

decorate with world map, room with world map wallpaper

Lovely interpretation of a vintage kid’s room with a classic world map wallpaper.  I opted for this wall map for Lucas’ nursery because I was also looking for an actual map with a classic look from which he can learn today’s geography more than just the decorative use of it.

It’s been a ridiculously rainy week here in the Northeast and I’ve been craving some beach time. Since that seems to be a little bit out of our lives right now I opted to saturate myself with gorgeous, colorful beachy images and leave you this weekend with some of them for you to look at every time you want.

Call me girly or romantic but I am head over heels for this dining room.

Now, isn’t this room dreamy?  I really like the bed and the bedding. How about you?

A very clever idea to paint the floor in blue.  Every element in this photo looks very real and almost palpable.  don’t you feel like you can almost touch them?

You can’t get more beachy Bohemia than this door. Really.

wedding dress

I think it would be a great and unusual idea to make your wedding cake a representation of your dress. Of course as long as the wedding cake is as beautiful as one these.
