Your majesty

I never get tired of graphic modern art. Even the most traditional space can be revived and brought to up-to-date with a touch of modern art. Silhouettes have been around for centuries and they still seduce us. Here are a few fashionable uses:

Got no green thumb

It’s time to spend more time outside and enjoy the “God blessed weather.” But first I have to accommodate our deck in order to do that. Of course my dream of a flowery outdoor space has literally gone with the wind. Our deck is too windy for the delicate nature of flowering plants. So I’m looking into stronger plants that require less physical effort as well. Remember these Domino images? I can’t overload our deck with anything like this but it’s a great point of departure for inspiration.

Messy Chignon

Chignons are not only for evening events. I think they look great in a natural kind of way during the day. What do you think?

Folding Screens

Besides the architectural details it can bring to a room, a folding screen can also cover those imperfections that usually cannot be removed. It’s also an easy way to dress up a room bringing in pattern and color.

Sleeping with books

Considering that I don’t sleep much at all it may not be the best idea for me to have books in my bedroom. But, the coziness that books bring into a bedroom is a great option for either small or big spaces.

Back to basics

As you can notice I decided to make Belle Vivir look more like it was from it’s humble beginnings in 2006. It’s still a work in progress but so far I changed some fonts and I’ll be including more inspirational quotes here and there like I used to do way back.
