Not only because it’s my birthday, mind me, but because it’s a month that seems to celebrate all things related to Art, Fashion, Culture and more… A lot of Cultural happenings… The month of September is the true beginning of the year as regards to the Fashion Calendar, representing the end of Summer and the beginning of a new Fashion season and school year. Fashion Weeks kick off in New York on Sept. 7th presenting Spring/Summer 2018 Collection and ending in Paris on Oct. 30th. Rodin at the Met; Sept 16 through Jan. 15
On the centenary of the death of Auguste Rodin (1840–1917), The Metropolitan Museum of Art will celebrate its historic collection of the artist’s work. Nearly 50 marble, bronze, plaster, and terracottas by Rodin, representing more than a century of acquisitions and gifts to the Museum, will be displayed in the newly installed and refurbished Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Sculpture Gallery. With a selection of drawings, prints, letters, and illustrated books, as well as photographs of the master sculptor and his art.

The artists explore these issues through poetry, symbolism, and metaphor or by exploring particular forms of artistic practice associated with rupture or bearing witness as a form of social protest.
Galerie Buchholz presents Eliza Douglas Anne Imhof
Ann Imhof is a German artist living in Frankfurt who won the Golden Lion prize at Venice Biennale 2017. Galerie Buchholz is exhibiting “Eliza Douglas Anne Imhof”, an exhibition of new collaborative paintings by Douglas and Imhof, as well as new works produced by both artists individually.
Saul Gallery: Maira Kalman, The Elements of Style through Sept 16

Manolo Blahnik Documentary: Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards
The documentary directed by the fashion journalist Michael Roberts is an in-depth portrait of master shoe designer Manolo Blahnik and a behind-the-scenes look into the world of the fashion icon. It opens Sept. 15 in New York City and Sept. 21 in Los Angeles. You can watch the trailer here.

Paris Design Week September 8-16
The sixth annual PARIS DESIGN WEEK is a design event uniting 250 participants that all proudly promote first-rate design in Paris. For eight days, the event invites French and international professionals and the general public to discover the best showcases of design, art, fashion, interiors, craft and food in Paris, while the leading talents in the discipline gather in the Now! Le Off exhibition, Les Docks, Cité de la Mode et du Design.
The event coinsides with Maison et Object Paris. The lifestyle show brings together a 360°product offering. Decoration, design, furniture, accessories, textiles, fragrances, the world of children, tableware… The styles coexist in a multifaceted way, throughout the inventive show design which enlivens the spaces.
