The front part of our home. Boston ivy can indeed be a topic of debate among gardening enthusiasts. It is known for its vigorous growth and ability to quickly cover walls and structures, which some people find invasive and potentially damaging to buildings. However, others appreciate its charming and nostalgic appearance, especially when it transforms into vibrant hues of red and orange during the fall season. One advantage of Boston ivy is that it does not use suction cups or tendrils to attach itself to surfaces like some other vines do. Instead, it uses adhesive discs at the tips of its tendrils to stick to surfaces. This means that it is less likely to cause damage to well-maintained walls, particularly if they are made of brick, stone, or other sturdy materials Pruning is necessary to control its growth and prevent it from encroaching on windows, gutters, or other areas where it may cause issues. Ultimately, whether you love or hate Boston ivy is a matter of personal preference. Now, I must admit, it's a tad peculiar for me to express gratitude when my 14-year-old son is more interested in navigating the treacherous terrain of the school bus. I'm feeling a bit blue this morning. After attending a wonderful event by @lenoxhillneighborhoodhouse for a great cause at @cipriani, I just wish there was an event like this every day. I'm extremely proud of the table I created with the invaluable help of @plazaflowernyc who designed the most elegant and opulent flower arrangement. I'd like to extend my thanks to @lobjet for their generous lending of the beautiful plates and chargers. The custom-made tablecloth fabric was sourced from @rubelli_group. Unfortunately, someone took my tablecloth and flowers without my consent. It's disappointing, but I understand that these things can happen anywhere. I'd like to give a special mention to the accessories we used - our French cutlery, Laguiole, was from @julieandev. Most importantly, I want to thank my wonderful family for their help and support. My dear niece, @spicyhottamalee and husband - I love you both!
