I’ve been postponing Five Favorites posts for a while, only because there are so many interesting products I’ve discovered and there is only a small amount of time I can invest on each post for the blog every day. I’ve been excessively busy with new clients and exciting new projects. Here are my favorite products this month.
100% Freshwater Diatomaceous Earth: Organic Bugs Killer, Fertilizer, and Food
Please bear with me as I try to explain what this diatomaceous earth is. At the beginning of Summer, we were inundated with little ants. We would find them mostly in the kitchen around our sink, and it was very annoying. One day while browsing through Amazon I came across this organic bug killer powder that promised to be so safe you can even eat it, just don’t inhale it. We bought it, mixed it with a bit of water and applied along the countertop with a syringe. The next morning when we woke up there only about five ants left and by the third day they were all gone.

Blue Tanzy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarify Mask
I have decent skin but as I’ve mentioned here before I have pro-rosacea skin. My whole face turns into a tomato every time I run. That doesn’t stop me from running though. The benefits outweigh the red face..? I found Blue Tanzy Mask by Herbivore while looking for something that would help me with my redness and I love it. It’s helping a lot. I use it about once a week, and right after I take it off, I can notice the improvement. The smell is a bit unpleasant, but something’s gotta give.

You wouldn’t think that for a sensitive skin professionals would recommend mild exfoliation? But that is precisely what my Dermatologist in Munich recommended, a session of facial massages with a gentle peel. I was skeptical at first until I noticed my skin a lot calmer and smoother after each session. Since I’m proof that mild exfoliation works on a pro-rosacea skin, I went ahead and got myself a facial toner.
Everyone should have a toner because this liquid is the one that does the last cleansing step to get rid of the residual impurities on the skin for products to absorb better and helps with pores minimizing. The smell is sublime, every time I put it on I can only smell roses, and it makes my skin glow like a mirror. I laughed with my son last week when he walked in the bathroom when I was applying Fresh Hydration Facial Toner, and he said “Mami, when you put that on, it’s weird, your skin is like a mirror” Kids are so cute. Of course, I explained to him that that was a lovely compliment to tell a woman and that it make take him far in life with the ladies.

Lavazza Coffee Capsules Comparable With Nespresso
My favorite coffee is Lavazza and now more than ever when I can make them in my Nespresso machine. I’m happy to report that none of the capsules have ever jammed my Nespresso machine.
