5 Favorites Of Belle Vivir: From The Last Bottle To Art On Sale

The Last Bottle

The Last Bottle

On our last trip to the South of France -God I can’t wait for this whole Corona catastrophe to be over- encouraged by my husband, we visited The Chateauneuf-du-Pope region and ended up buying a couple of cases of wine and getting them shipped back to our home. A couple of years later and we were able to buy the same wine for the same price and without having to pay shipping and duties. All thanks to The Last Bottle. I’m not a great wine drinker, I’m more of a cocktail girl, but when I do I always go for Riesling since I feel it is easier on my stomach. The Last Bottle “is a daily purveyor of fine wines. [they] offer you one hand-picked wine per day until it sells out… Always at incredible prices (30%-70% off retail)…”

The Gentlemen, The movie

The Gentlemen, movie, Guy Ritchie

I watched the movie The Gentlemen last Friday on Amazon Prime. I usually don’t go for this kind of dark humor movies, but sometimes having a family composed of a majority of men, I have to be flexible. I’m glad I did. The movie is written, produced, and directed by Guy Ritchie. I sat behind Guy Ritchie and Madonna many times at The Kabalah Center in NYC, so whenever I have a chance I try to watch one of his movies.

The Gentlemen’s cast is a treat in its own with Mathew McConaughey, Colin Farrel, Hugh Grant, Charlie Hunnam and even Jeremy Strong from Successions playing really funny roles that sometimes will make you laugh or frown, depends on your inner self. The entire screen play is pretty creative, but it’s the intelligence in the dialogues that will make you want to rewind and repeat scenes.

La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser

La Roche-Posay, gentle cleanser

La Roche-Posay Hydrating gentle cleanser is by far the best cleanser I’ve used thus far. It’s not a soap so it’s very gentle on the skin, but it really cleans every makeup on your face. Unlike many other “high end” cleansers I have used, which many don’t remove eye makeup, this cleanser does. It leaves my skin glowing and soft. I can’t recommend it enough. One thing I’d like to add is that I don’t agree on how many people are recommending applying facial creams or cleanser by rubbing them on their entire hands first- it’s too much waste. I, however, rub a facial cream or serum on the tip of my three middle fingers and then apply them on my face.

Soul Of The Home: Designing with Antiques

Soul of the Home: Designing with Antiques by Tara Shaw. In her first book, Shaw helps readers understand how to select the best antiques and how to use them in a variety of decor schemes. What I love most about this book is its easy coverage of different antique styles and periods, from Louis XIV to Mid-Century. For those starting to learn about antiques, Tara gives a brief description of each style and how to identify them.
