Whether you call it stylish, casual or chic, the best definition for Chambray style is Classic. It’s one fashion style that never goes out of style, and it goes well with almost every piece of clothing you prefer to pair it with. I love it how Alexa Chung wears her chambray shirt with a sequined mini skirt in the lower picture.  Another way of wearing a Chambray shirt these days is with more denim, Denim on denim is one of the latest trends in jeans right now.

Fur coats have been used for cold protection since forever, although back then it was for strictly survival reasons rather than fashion motives.  Despite being probably one of the most controversial topics in Fashion it is indeed in its heydays, if we go by its constant presence during Fashion Weeks lately.  From real ones to fabulous faux fur options, fur coats are more present than ever in any chic woman’s wardrobe.

According to Chinese calendar this year is The Year of the horse which doesn’t really predict many positive outcomes, on the other hand however, “The upcoming Horse year is also a ‘yang wood’ year, when people will stick more to their principles and stand firm. So it is hard to negotiate or compromise as there are more tendencies for people to fight for their ideals.” Reuters.  The first sentence sounds good enough to me.  Have a good one.

I wish I knew how to give up and just really give up.  Unfortunately I’m too stubborn or I’ve learned through own experiences that nothing that is worth living in life is ever granted.   This week has been crazy for me, a lot of effort and work, running around for things that at the end either don’t work or don’t make sense.  That’s why I’ll be a bit absent from blogging these days.  Need some time to concentrate all my physical and emotional efforts on accomplishing a major project deadline.  I’ll be posting very sporadically so until then stay good.  Enjoy!

We are driving to the country side this weekend with some friends to breath in fresh air and be eaten up by mosquitoes.  But everything for la naturaleza.  I’m one hundred percent an urban girl but sometimes I like to escape to the countryside and enjoy the simple life although I’m not quite sure why they call it the simple life, I don’t think there is anything simple about milking a cow, trying to grab an egg away from a mami chicken and waking up at 5 AM by a rooster.  All my admiration!  Of course all that would be a pleasure if I happen to wake up in either one of these places.  Have a great weekend!

It’s a very thin line from the sublime to the ridiculous when decorating with pastel colors.  It’s easier to end up with an adult-size shabby doll house; ouch! than an elegant and refined one.  Since I believe or hope, that nobody wants to end up down that road I would only suggest to stay away from whimsically looking furniture or anything too-Victorian.  And, please don’t paint them white unless it’s a distressed white.  One thing to keep in mind is Pastel colors are those pale tones on the color wheel so pale is not only pink but any color in its lightest degradation.  Enjoy!
