It seems that transforming centuries old palaces into livable homes is the norm lately. This time its a15th Century Palace in Girona, Spain. The medieval architecture was restored by Jacobo Valenti and Luis Sendino to serve now as the weekend home and gallery of Palau de Casavells. The beautiful result is a showcase of antique furniture, mid-century pieces and contemporary art wall.

Interior designer Raji Radhakrishman‘s home in Northern Virginia is like dessert for the eyes. As in her previous works her interiors have a reference to the past in a modern way that is very livable. She combines modern pieces with different period furniture effortlessly. I love her aesthetics.

Storing hats properly will depend on the type of hats you have. Yesterday’s post about Maison Michel hats reminded me that I have a few hats piled up in the closet with no proper storage. Even when I tried to put one into each other there is always one that gets all squished up. The straw hats may be the easiest ones to store by hanging them on the walls or racks but the more delicate ones, the ones that require maintaining their shape need a better way of storage.
