You didn’t think I was going to do a series of powder rooms this week and NOT include J Crew’s? I mean…look at those stripes.

I’m always mesmerize at David Collins use of soothing colors. In The Apartment at The Connaught Mayfair in London, Collins uses different shades of blues and lavender, very relaxing colors if you ask me; which is exactly what one should feel at a Hotel. Rumors are that you can even have the butlers arrange a private dinner party, with menus designed by a two-Michelin star chef. Now that’s what I call a life. Would you like a cup of tea?

That’s what I call a Vanity…

Last week I did a series of post called Kitchen of the day. This week I’ll do Powder rooms. Only because it’s probably the space where we can be more daring to decorate and this powder has forever been one of my favorites. Having a room in your house with mother of pearl tiles, mirrored vanity and a shell functioning as a sink your guests for sure won’t want to leave.

It’s all in the details! It’s the first thought that came to my mind when I first saw this home. I’m a constant admirer of anything related to interior architecture. Only a few things inspire me more than Architecture itself. And, God, this house is certainly one with exquisite architectural details that make these rooms shine by themselves, from the ornate coffered ceilings, clean boiseries and Greek key moldings to dark wood floors. Of course its owner, the couturier Howard Green is no novice when it comes to style. He knew how to pair this splendid home with equally sculptural pieces and show-stopping art. If this home appears to you like a French home, it is, because Paris is Howard Green’s favorite city. No wonder!!!
