Children’s bedrooms, where kids can grow in and be creative are the best and ideal rooms.  I think this can be done by treating the room as a place where children would play, study and spend time with their friends instead of just a room where they would go only to sleep.  Functional elements as task light for reading, multi-functional furniture and if money it’s not a problem, build-ins with space for homework area are ways to make the room not only more spacious and tailored to their growing needs, but also a space where their imagination can go wild.  As every other room in the house, children’s bedroom should be designed to the kid’s own style and needs while prioritizing safety, of course with the guidance of a professional designer and or a stylish parent.  They are never too young to start polishing their taste, right?.  I love each and every one of these 12 modern children’s bedrooms below.  They are beautifully done while child-tailored-made without looking too adult or too childish. Enjoy!

I was reading an article a couple of days ago where the writer said that Brooklyn used to be an alternative but now is a choice in Real Estate.  And I guess it makes more sense among artistic and young couple who are looking for historical buildings and neighborhoods with beautiful architecture and curb appeal.  One of my favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and probably the only one I know, is Brooklyn Heights and I wouldn’t mind living there at all.  This couple bought an apartment in Cobble Hill, a closed-to-cars block of 22 brownstones in Brooklyn Heights and did a wonderful job restoring and remodeling it.  Enjoy!

Third time lucky. Interior Designer Stephens Sills’s apartment in New York city is featured in T-Magazine, has gone through the process of redecoration three times, this last one results in a neutral space furnished with different periods furniture. The New York Times Magazine called the diminutive apartment “Pale Beauty”. Although most, if not all, of the furniture in the apartment is antique or vintage, the apartment looks and feels very up-to-date. The apartment is tiny with only three rooms in total over 1,000 square feet. Evidence that no matter the size, good interior design comes in all different sizes. Most of the walls and and panelings have been bleached, limed and white washed creating a cohesive aesthetic and making the space look more spacious.  Bleached parquet floors, from Poland and sculptural furniture are used to add the drama in shape instead of volume. ” I wanted to be very Cubistic” Sills told NYT Sills has a home in Bedford, New York that I’m sure is very spacious for when he needs more space.  Stephen Sills Interior Design heroes were American Designer Albet Hadley and French Legend Henri Samuel.  Sills was born in Durant, Okla., and he attended the University of North Texas, where he received a bachelor’s degree in interior design.   Love the modern art throughout the space.
