You may have seen this amazing Parisian apartment featured in Elle Decor in the November issue.  If you saw the magazine you probably bought it just to see more of this amazing flat.  My husband who never buys design magazines bought it for me in his latest trip overseas.  The designers to praise behind this creation are Kelli Wilde and Laurent Champeau who previously worked for Tino Zervudachi.  Restoring a lot of the original ornamented walls and ceiling the designers reconfigured the layout for a better flow.  The mixture of classic furniture and modern art is a perfection of sorts.  Enjoy!

A few days ago I saw a magazine spread of an all white apartment.  I mean all white, literally.  Not a wood color, any type of metal or any other neutral accent were in this house.  It looked as if a big giant poured out white glue on every surface of this apartment.  And I was thinking, uhm… no thanks!  It was very sad and nerve wracking because all I was able to think of was about mental institutions.  Yeah! it was a house that made me feel sick!  We are all different and different things make us happy, lucky me I have my own home, which I work hard on to make me and those who come in happy.  After all home is where your heart is and wouldn’t you want to have a colorful and happy heart?  Enjoy!

Thom Filicia does know how to make a house feel like home.  This country home in Connecticut can convert any city lover into a country aficionado.  If you don’t believe me take a look for yourself at this cozy and elegant abode he designed for a young family.  Besides the typical warm feeling of the country side it’s almost hard to tell that all these level of sophisticated American style is in the countryside.  Enjoy!

Bedside tables are one of the first things one sees when getting up in the morning.  Therefore I think they are not only useful and necessary but they also play an important role in how our days are going to develop throughout the day.  A messy and sloppy bedside
table will not exactly uplift our mood and fill us with energy, instead it will most likely weight us down.  It’s a good idea to always have on our bedside table something that would bring a smile to our face;  an important photograph, fresh flowers or a souvenir from a very memorable vacation.  Enjoy!
