Thankfully it’s time to take out our denims, espadrilles and ruffle tops because summer and all its glory is here.  It culturally starts this weekend with the celebration of Labor Day although officially a bit later.  As the Sun sets later and the Rosé is ready for happy hour, the nail polishes get lighter in beautiful pastel colors.  From Guerlain’s light purple-tone nail lacquer base, for those looking for a very subtle touch of color to Yves Saint Laurent ‘s
bright yellow for those more unique and adventurous.

Lately dresses and tops are all about soft layers of classic romantic ruffles.  I remember when growing up my mother used to dress my sister and me the same and ruffle skirt dresses were usually the norm.  Now, although this season’s dress is casual and playful, the Ruffle Dress, is in no way like the ones I used to wear as a kid.  Coming in versions of off shoulders or cold shoulder, asymmetrical skirts in soft fabric, plain or flowery, they are ideal for day city walking as well as for evenings.

There is no better season for suede shoes than Spring.  The perfect weather makes you feel free of regrets with no snow or rain to ruin them.  Stilettos are the type of shoes that can be worn formal and informal and still look classic and feminine.  I’m especially obsessed with the v-cut stilettos, like the pink ones on the top right with the right amount of height.  Mix up the beautiful colors of Spring with suede and you have a win-win shoe situation.

A Dry bar however is a lot simpler and easier to set up and style.  It can easily be arranged in many different ways and areas of the home.  It can be as easy as setting up a tray on top of a sideboard and use the drawers of the sideboard for storing glasses and home bar tools.  As you can see in the image above the sideboard which belongs to Aerin Lauder, works as a perfect surface for displaying a few drinks and glasses.
