Food for Thought

The greatest happiness lays in the simplest things, food on the table, a friend we can call, the presence of a significant other, health or maybe simply the fact that we can function.  Sadly, sometimes we oversee this while wanting more and more.

Beautiful quote. I have always said stop thinking about the little things you dont have & concentrate on all the wonderful things you already have. Its not good to dwell on things & forget to appreciate what is around us.

Julie that is soooo true, realize it more as i get older. Its the simple things (and often the free things) that are the icing on the cake of life.

That is very good food for thought. And the more I get older (and wiser, of course) 🙂 the more I realize that is very true. We seem to envision this idea of happiness and don't realize that we already have the things that make us happy. Thanks for posting.

Wise quote and beautiful words, Julie. We should remember this every day. We'd smile more often and be grateful for what we have. 🙂
