Do you girls watch Football…?

Every year my husband goes through the same ritual of playing fantasy football and me rolling my eyes at just the thought of it.  I’m so bad that two weeks ago while he was selecting his players (to form his fantasy football team) the only name I was able to recognize among the 17 players was Tom Brady.  I mean, can you blame me? And let’s clarify that I didn’t even know the guy before he married Giselle…  So last night, after having the TV on for the entire afternoon showing lots of big men colliding against each other and me reading the paper, Evren told me “oh, there is a football game tonight, we should watch it”.  I gave him a kind of “are you talking to me?  kind of look and all he said was, This is serious stuff Julie!  You think it’s a joke, you are the only woman in America who doesn’t like Football!  I was in shock when he said that!  There is no way he can really believe this.  He is a big joker to the point that I don’t even know when he is serious anymore.  To prove him wrong I have to throw this question out there.  Do you women watch Football!?

its not for me and luckily i married a guy who isn't into it either. that said i feel that increasingly more and more women are bona fide fans: my sister and my SIL included. so i do feel the pressure to know a bit about what is going on.

Oh yes I follow football and love it. My husband was a casual watcher before he married me and now he is a avid fan too. We spend Sunday afternoons together enjoying the game. I of course also have some knitting, quilting or some other hand project going and it is wonderful to have the time with my husband and for my craft. You should try it. Such a guilty pleasure.

You made me smile with this post, Julie. I don't watch football either, but as it's not that popular in Europe, I'll just say that I don't watch soccer either. I'm a tennis lover. 🙂 Have a fantastic week! xoxo

Up until two years ago I hated sports of all kinds. But my dear friends, Vern and Russ, got me interested in hockey and now I'm a rabid fan (a damn good thing, too, since I'm Canadian). Then they got me interested in football. I don't love it as much as I do hockey, but I definitely like it. And last night I watched my first rugby game. Kind of like football, but without all the stopping and starting.

So yeah, I must admit, I like football. Sorry!
