Coral fans as accessories for home decor can be pretty. Although I have to admit I feel guilty to own a real one and the antique ones could cost top dollar. Do some of you know where I can buy good reproductions of sea fans? I would love to display a small collection on my living room wall. I share your love of them, and also your concern about having real ones. I don't know whether you live by the sea but sometimes (rarely) they do get washed up. I found a beautiful small black fan last summer on the local beach (in Sydney).

These are very beautiful accessories. They add a nice delicate touch to a space, like in the photos you've used here. I've never seen real ones in nature but now I will look more carefully the next time I'm collecting seashells at the beach.
