I loved the house of Harriet Maxwell Macdonald and Andrew Corrie, the creative talents behind Ochre, in this month’s issue of House Beautiful. The house is located on Shelter Island. Usually you would expect that a house where wood covers every single surface to be a little rough but the use of the soft hues throughout the house gives it a very cozy feeling. I’m not a big fan of Pine but the white wash technique the owners used on the paneling make me think twice.
The weather this weekend is expected to be fabulous. Finally good weather is coming our way. Happy Easter!

So cozy. It looks like a place one might escape to in order to get away from everything for a bit. Have a wonderful Easter as well!
