Good Morning I hope you had a wonderful father’s day. I came across these images of the New York City home of Emma Jane Pilkington, initially published in Vogue Living. Her dual upbringing, between Australia and Greenwich, Conn. can be seen translated into the mixture of glam and bohemian found in her Manhattan home. Her Greenwich home is also very inspiring.
Pilkington combines traditional furniture with modern art in her living room, and the result is pretty spectacular. That is the power of juxtaposing different design elements and period; it never gets old.
Love the Directoire period daybed and how Emma Jane Pilkington combined it with a modern classic Arne Jacobsen egg chair.
Love the modern touch that the black and white striped rug adds to the traditional style of the bedroom. 19th Century English light was the inspiration for the rest of the decor in the bedroom.
One way of making any bedroom appear bigger is by adding mirrors to your closet doors. The light and movement reflecting on doors will make the space look more spacious.
