red nail polish roundup via belle vivir

I remember growing up red nail polish was never for girls, only for gown-up women.  Girls were only allowed to use light natural colors instead.  Anyone doing otherwise
would be easily labeled as a potential trouble maker.  Obviously the red nail colors I was more exposed to were darker red tones ranging from Burgundy to Garnet.  Color tones that still until not long ago I strictly associated to older ladies.  Red nails are a true
classic with so many different shades now to make everyone happy and more than excited about painting their nails.  I personally prefer red nail polishes with orange and coral hues for
their shades being more dynamic, happy and excited.  Below is a cool selection of Red Nail Polish that will make any hand look classy and modern at once.

I would love to visit the showroom of Lorenzo Castillo in Madrid at least every week for inspirations and decorating ideas. As I used to do when living in New York City, I used to stroll the Antiques Stores in the Upper East Side admiring all the beautiful furniture. Lorenzo’s showroom displays his cultivated eclectic signature in each of the pieces he showcase within an outstanding decor. Lorenzo Castillo is an Interior Designer and a Antiquarian who has transformed a 19th century mansion in Madrid into his home and work space. The mansion used to belong to Count of Torrijos and Lorenzo fell in love with the impressive details of this old mansion and I don’t blame him. I can imagine the beauty of its architecture, something that cannot be well appreciated these days. Castillo knows how to use all different kinds of antiques such as art deco, regency, a little bit of Chinoiserie and vintage pieces together in great harmony.

I get enchanted every time I see designers who are capable of mixing many centuries and styles together. This fantastic antique architecture house serves as a canvas to display this Intelligent Eclecticism.  Small space but full of character.

Interior Designer Beatriz Silveira designed this beautiful feminine office for a magazine editor.  Something it would be almost easy to guess based on the very stylistic and sophisticated design of the work space.  Beatriz used simple yet refined navy blue sofas combined with white walls and golden touches throughout the feminine space.  The very ornate crown moldings on the painted ceiling is the star of the entire office and I love the fact that brings in the exact amount of rustic touch which helps break away the office from being too girly.

Weather you decide to wear it long, short or mid calf, the pleated skirt is available in every color, length and texture and that’s because it is one of Fashion Latest trends.  I love the flow
of the pleats and how easily the look can be either elegant and classic when worn with heels or casual and offhand when worn with flat shoes.
Miroslava Duma.  I love her Hermes Constance Bag.

Luis Puerta, Design bathroom belle vivir

I posted about Interior Designer Luis Puerta almost three years ago where I expressed my admiration for his minimal yet very elegant Interior Design.  This bathroom he designed shows one more time his use of strong elements such as ornate wood, herringbone floor and ornate crown moldings to bring personality into more modern interiors with nude walls.  I love the whitewashed herringbone floors, the floor-to-ceiling French doors with inside shutters.  The use of antique furniture and indoor plants in the bathroom makes the space warmer besides the walls being bare.  The bathroom seems to project a Greek influence with the Greek statues displaying in the room.  I could really use a bathroom like this one.

As many of you may have heard, Fashion Designer L’Wrent Scott committed suicide yesterday.  As someone who had experienced the tragedy and desolation of someone in your family committing suicide I can imagine the devastation among her family and friends.  This is a very important moment to reflect on the saying “Do not compare your Inside to Someone Else’s Outside”.  Life is full of competition even when you don’t want to tag along, others sometimes take your actions as a provocation to compete and I can only imagine that this is prevalent even more frequently in the Fashion world.  I’m sure it’s full of great and fantastic people but I’m sure that it is also full of people who would be more than willing to give others the cold shoulder.  For many people everything that has to do with religion or spirituality is passé, but meditation can do wonders to those who feel lonely and without hope.  Only 5 minutes alone in the day with yourself to think and reflect on a greater good is enough to start feeling better.
