A combination of All American Modern and Scandinavian design is found in this Estate located in The Hamptons, designed by Tamara Magel. The estate that has 11 bedrooms and 13 baths sits on a 23-acre lot along the Hedges Lane. The design has the best modern living has to offer, for those who appreciate modern design… Natural materials, cozy furniture, lots of light and an excellent selection of contemporary art… The final result in this state is a laid-back atmosphere with modern amenities…
Love the simple lines of the marble fireplace
A better view of what it seems to be the living room where a mixture of mid-century, modern and traditional furniture mingle harmoniously.
The Scandinavian meet laid-back American design is better noticed in these two Scandinavian chairs with striped seats.
In the dining room, Tamara broke away from the all-white design in the rest of the house and wallpapered the walls in an inky black grass-cloth wallpaper. I think the overall design looks exquisite in this room because of the sharp contrast between the white furniture, the black walls, and the great amount of light.
A very modern and soothing bedroom with a modern fireplace, cozy throws, and fur. The ceiling is painted in a light grey.
Different natural materials mingle in the bedroom.
In the kids’ bedroom, the color palette is also on the soothing side with ash wood and light greys prevailing. Simple twin beds bring a peaceful mood to the kids’ room.
The bathroom or perhaps powder room… with a nature-based color scheme. Love the black floors in a porcelain brick tiles.
Simplicity is also found in the bathroom where black, ash wood and white are the main colors. The steel casement bathroom doors bring a great architectural element to the room.
Another view of the beautiful paned-glass shower door.
I posted this black and white kitchen a couple of months ago. You can see the post here.
