Stephen Sills interiors seem to emanate a glow from within that grant the spaces an understated glamour.  His Interiors evoke ease for everyday living.  They look updated without being too trendy while classic without rendering in cliché or boredom.  This beautiful apartment on Fifth Avenue was gutted to the core and then redone completely by Architect John B. Murray.  One of the main intentions was not to interrupt the fantastic view of Central Park and to display the extended owners’ art collection.  You can see the rest of this beautiful apartment at AD.

loose pants, stirrup knit pants

I have recently realized that I need to put more interest on pants.  I have about three times more tops than pants and that’s got to change.  If you are like me and don’t want to look too put together on a daily basis when running errands and going about your days, however you still want to look stylish just enough, then you should aim for loose pants that look chic while still comfortable.  Don’t get me wrong I do like my skinny jeans with boots once in a while but it comes time when I want a rest from it and just feel comfortable and chic at the same time.  All these loose pants below have in common, a high-waist, elastic waistband, and soft or knit fabric.

Clockwise from top left, knit pants in a jogger silhouette with high-rise waistline.   Cozy knit sweater pants with a straight-leg silhouette.  Chino pants.  High-waisted plaid pants with bow.

Sophisticated London penthouse

London Interior design is known for being sophisticated, usually mostly neutrals or boldly colorful, and with great handcraft details.  See for yourself.  This penthouse exudes exactly those design elements.  Subdued but elegant wood work in the form of wall paneling, chevron floors and a refined selection of furniture.  The elegant penthouse, designed by De Rosee Sa, is located in Ladbroke Square, a Notting Hill’s garden square.  The interior design was inspired by the elegant apartments of Paris with French windows, Juliet balcony, and tall ceilings.
