5 reasons why you need oversized art via belle vivid blog
Oversized art in a room is a great way to bring in the design details that your home may need.  An over scaled piece of wall art injects immediate architecture, personality and identity to a modern home.  Anything from a modern option like a black and white photograph of a favorite icon to a traditional painting, here are five reasons why you need an oversized art in your home decor.

It will give you a piece of mind.

Gallery walls are a very beautiful option but it could be a headache for those with no expertise on the material.  Choosing one oversize piece of art will avoid all the
hustle of ruining your walls by making unnecessary extra holes.

I’d like to share with you my print line. I love architecture, geometry, and abstract forms so I wanted to create a line that would evoke that. Lines, geometry, shapes and a little bit of pop art are found in these prints which are now available on Etsy.

I Heart New York or My heart is in New York. I love many cities but, there is no other City in the world with the dynamic and vibrant vibe of New York City. Everything from its incompatible diversion, freedom, and opportunities is unmatchable. My son always keeps telling me “mami I was born in New York, right mami?,” “yes, sweetie you were. You are a new yorker” This print was created as a homage to him. The colors in the small heart are never repeated and the whole print can be customizable.

Origami is a floating abstract shape that seems to be lit from inside. I love its understated and minimalist atmosphere.

This smart and beautiful geometric masterpiece was created by me, myself and my computer.  I present to you one of my prints which I tried really hard
to create from the bottom of my heart, imagination, and creativity.  I
wanted to create something that was completely unique and transcends the
fashion times aka. modern and classic at the same time.  I hope you love it, want it and buy many of them and share
them with your family and friends because I think it’s kind of cool and good
looking!
FYI it can be printed in any color of your choice.  Later
I’ll share the rest of my print line with you which is all awesome and unique,
but don’t hesitate, they’re coming soon!
My entire print line is officially copyrighted

And on another note, as everybody should know by now, Google Reader is closing
down for goods which leaves us with one great option to continue following our
favorite blogs, Blogloving.  Believe it or not, I was not a regular
Blogloving user, I actually never used it.  I just didn’t want to add another
Internet way of consuming my little free time left.  You know that thing
about living in the moment?  But this morning when I was transferring my Blogs
follower list I felt better than I was replacing instead of adding one more, so
thanks Google for the change because frankly, Bloglovin is kind of better
looking than your old Google reader.  I think!

Sometimes art can make a room while many times it can also make a whole house. I can’t picture a home without it nor would I live in one without. We all know art implies many things from an elaborate sculpture to a simple figurine. But, in this case I’m referring to art wall. The one that is very personal and many times tells a story behind the artists creation or its discovery.  My Yaacov Agam painting that I found at The New York Antique Garage which my husband and I framed using the shell from another painting just the night before the photo shoot of our home.  That is a story that will always be linked to that painting and to my last minute anticipation.  Art can be anything many people say but, I think otherwise.  Wall art in a home could certainly make a room but can also break it.  The art that we select for our homes should bring with it the final note to the ambiance of the space, it should complete the room’s vision as it shows in each of these images.  In other words, it should become part of a new story: your home.  For affordable and good art I have posted here and here. Enjoy!

I’m especially exited today because after four long living-with-rental-furniture-months we are finally getting our stuff tomorrow.  It’s play time! I have a pretty clear idea of where things are going to go, but boy can’t that change? One thing that I’m certain though is the gallery walls I
want to create around the house.  I’m a big fan of picture cluster walls and I’ve realized that when there is a lot of different ways to create them and/or to display them, each produces a different background.  From a complete harmonious and balanced display, to careless and Bohemian one to a more eclectic grouping.  Each and everyone translates the personal
lifestyle of their owners, as it should be.  So I’ve been paying attention about how to create the best gallery walls or wall art composition as some call them.  For creating a harmonious and balanced gallery wall is good to keep things simple and hang each picture at the same distance vertically and horizontally speaking.  One thing to keep in mind is to keep all frames and matting in the same color.

Everyone knows that designing a house and making it feel like a home takes many long and exhausting months, if not years.  So when I realized that I would only have two months to plan, design, execute, anticipate the smallest details and to think about what we might be needing in the future, I know that in order to not go insanely crazy, I had to rely on things that were not too expensive and too valuable but still good looking.  I don’t know much about Sao Paulo yet, but I know that things tend to cost three times more.  So where did I go to for basic
things as art? right! Ikea.  I was planning to buy things such as a mattress for our little one, a foot step for his sink  and so on.  Imagine my surprise when walking around I found very good looking prints!  God, was I glad, there are an awful lot of empty walls in this house that will need to be filled. We got the second one below by Deborah Azzopardi for Lucas’s room, of which I will only tell you that it will have a bunch of stripes.  Yeah!

The top is a motif by Amelia Lancaster.  Bellow, Ikea’s selection of Matisse motifs.   We also got one or two of those.
