Running errands in flat sandals was never meant to be this chic.  That’s until Designers decided to spruce sandals up for their Resort 2014 Collection where simple sandals got makeovers of sophisticated floral prints by Givenchy, brass metal pieces by Chloe and cool buckles by Marni.  I would love to have them all mostly because I almost have forgotten how to walk in heels by now – that’s how much I appreciate flats.  Luckily for me flats are just but getting better.

What to Wear on the Weekends, a woman with jeans skirt and chambray shirt with high jeels

A perfect weekend outfit.  denim pencil skirt with chambray shirt and high sandals.
What to wear on the weekends is a constant question.  Many people focus on spending on work attires or more dressy options when it comes to shopping.  Forgetting that what you wear on the weekends is equally important and it also deserves an investment of time and money.  Just because it’s the weekend doesn’t mean that you have to wear sweat pants with UGG boots.  Choosing comfortable yet stylish pieces for the weekend is not that hard once you start looking at casual weekend clothes with a whole different level of appreciation.  I like to think of weekend clothes as part of my lifestyle, not as a break from it.  Here are a few fashion style ideas for what to wear on the weekends.  Enjoy!

One of the coolest things about Instagram is that you can get sneak peek of behind the scenes of Fashion Designers.  During the past Fashion Weeks I kept an eye on a few Instagram accounts and here are a few images that kept me yearning for more.  Enjoy!

Balmain Paris Store designed by Joseph Dirand via belle vivir

One thing is to decorate homes where families live but a whole different thing is to translate a Fashion brand into a commercial space.  The fabulous Balmain store in Paris was designed by Architect Joseph Dirand and the space, besides being one that translates French perfect art craft in the best way possible is one that I’m sure will inspire its clients and make them feel like royals.  The store design is impeccable and once again Dirand’s amazing Interior Design rests on pure architecture, symmetry, balance and neutral palette.  Immaculate architectural details as wooden parquet floors, ornate wall moldings, elaborate French door pediments are some of the exquisite decorating features in the Balmain store in Paris.

And by Karl Lagerfeld I mean Etienne Russo, who is the genius set designer behind many Fashion House shows, among his many clients are Celine, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten and many other favorites.  And you may be laughing at me, and with me, at this question but, my otherworldly dream comes from a post I wrote back in August where as a joke I doubted that women whose closets are full with Chanel bags and clothes will most likely not be seen in the aisles of our local Super Market.  Boy was I wrong when six months later Karl Lagerfeld and Etienne Russo turned the Grand Palace into a mega supermarket for Chanel FW 2014 Paris Fashion Show.  Karl’s audacity did not only appear on the design set where every product on display was labeled as a Chanel product but also on the clothes.  Karl keeps on modernising Chanel and putting the speed on the wheels every season.  This time he presented a collection of ragged leggings, metallic jeans paired with sneakers and sporty flat boots.  There were also cropped jackets, of course quilted.  Apparently after the show all the food on display was going to be distributed to the homeless.  A fabulous cause.  Enjoy!
