Our hand block tablecloths, placemats, and napkins are printed on 100% cotton by artisans in Jaipur, India. You know it’s summer when it’s hot… regardless of what the calendar says. Summer started officially yesterday but it’s been feeling pretty hot in this town for over a week. And I’m very happy about that… The arrival of summer entails long days spent at the beach for some and at the swimming pool for most. I particularly prefere them in this order, the latter for use and the former for view. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good resort by the beach and all that comes along with it; cocktails, grilled seafood and people watching. Now when it comes to getting in the ocean and getting sticky sand all over my body, not so much. Donate To These Organizations To Help Innocent Children

I had very stylish links for today’s post, all linking to how to take care of your skin and other very interesting articles. But as it happened, everywhere I went searching to complete the post, I found instead articles about the “zero-tolerance policy” that is separating children from their parents at the border. I’m sure everyone’s heard of this horrific situation. These children are supposedly kept in cage like spaces with no information about where their parents are or when will they see them again. They find no comfort because they are told not to hug each other, the people supervising them can’t comfort them either. “She was so traumatized that she wasn’t talking. She was just curled up in a little ball.” Harpers Bazaar.

I can’t even imagine the state of desperation these families are going through. Many of these parents are trying to save their children from the hands of gangs and street crime, from a future of violence or death. We can all contribute to organizations that provide help to these families. If you want to help these families, you can donate to organizations that advocate for migrant parents separated from their children, like UCLA, Border Angels, Young Center and Kind.

I feel the days are really flying by. This weekend, for instance, went by between biking along the bike paths and grilling for Father’s Day. We enjoyed it and had a great time, but I can use more hours to include some extra indulgement in the mix. For example, I could always squeeze in hours for sourcing and be visiting new stores, either that ends with buying or not, it’s irrelevant. Since there is never enough time for me to do that, I’m glad there is always the internet to peruse all I want without leaving the comfort of my home. This weekend, while looking for a cocktail table for a client, I came across these fabulous pieces, all on sale and all beautiful and chic. Happy Shopping!

A Roundup of White T-shirt For The Easy Weekend

A roundup of T-shirt, Lo-Fi Shrunken Tee

What’s more accessible than a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans? Practically nothing. Although not the only way to wear a t-shirt, it comes close. My other favorite is with a long skirt, ideally, my Helmut Lang kinetic jersey long wrap skirt made of micro modal, a very luxurious and silky smooth fabric. It’s so soft and comfortable that I can easily sleep in it. This American classic matches with every single color, and it can especially anchor a pair black denim, it can tone down the prints on a pair of short and/or can casually downplay a fancy skirt.

I prefer the ones with shorter sleeves and have to admit that when it comes to a shirt, I have it all its subdivisions from shirt dress to modern versions of the classic button-down shirt.
