A Fifth Av. Home Designed by Stephen Sills

Stephen Sills interiors seem to emanate a glow from within that grant the spaces an understated glamour.  His Interiors evoke an ease for everyday living.  They look updated without being too trendy while classic without rendering in cliché or boredom.  This beautiful apartment on Fifth Avenue was gutted to the core and then redone completely by Architect John B. Murray.  One of the main intentions was to not interrupt the amazing view of Central Park and to display the extended owners’ art collections.  You can see the rest of this beautiful apartment at AD.

“Stephen Sills is a celebrated interior designer specializing in transforming interiors into timeless and unique environments for modern living. He approaches every project with sensitivity to architecture, function, and history of the space, enriching the vision of the client. Architectural Digest has described his work as, “… a lucid synthesis of opulence, rigor, and surprise.”…

I love the guest room above.  The prints are by Vik Muniz and Lucite still has that glamorous touch!

I have declared my eternal obsession with 1930’s and 1940’s French furniture and this chandelier above makes me smile.  In one corner of the dining room, a Cy Twombly work oversees the banquette.
