Month: January 2014

Nothing more intimate and feminine than lace and satin lingerie.  Have you guys caught on the trend circulating Instagram and Tumblr lately?  A frequent invasion of photos  displaying beautifully edited lingerie on beds, on tables, you name it.  Each and everyone of them more beautiful than the other one.  I love all kinds of fashion editorial from major renowned magazines to personal Instagram accounts.  How the saying goes, a picture can say a thousand words…

The late post is thanks to a cleansing I’ve been doing for the past three days which somehow leaves me a bit out of inspo.  The cleansing is nothing as serious as an-only-liquid one.  All
my respect to those who can do that.  It’s one I kind of adjusted myself.  No meat, no fish, no dairy, no processed food instead a lot of legumes, vegetable, quinoa, smoothie with protein and stuff like that.  Although I don’t feel weak, I seem to be struggling in the land of inspiration.  I sat in front of the computer today thinking, what can I possibly blog about today?  And guess what was the first thing that popped into my mind!  Kitchen!  I think that’s a sign telling me to go and eat some real food.

Wasn’t it fun to watch the Golden Globe Awards last night with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler  performing their expertise?  I kept laughing all night long until I was way too sleepy to hold it together and gave up.  We are three hours into the future here.  All ladies were stunning last night, my top favorites were Cate Blanchet in Armani and Caitlin Fitzgerald in Emilia Wickstead.  Also loved the stylish pregnant ladies rocking their dazzling dresses on the red carpet.  Kerry Washington as always impeccably dressed was beaming in Balenciaga.  Having been pregnant myself I can’t even imagine the use of high heels while going trough that process much less wearing a tide dress and looking half as composed as Olivia Wilde looked last night in a green Gucci dress.   If I ever get pregnant again I hope I can keep sweating my derriere at the Gym, and eating as healthy as I do now to try to look as stylish and chic as these women look.

I hope you’re enjoying the weekend and that it’s as lazy as it could be.  On a special note I want to share with you the fact that Belle Vivir is going to graduate to a dot com and soon after that will go through a complete make over.  I hope the transition gets done slowly and without any interruption to you guys.  After all this blog is for you and hope to continue having the privilege of your daily presence and support.

A few images of uber-chic spaces to welcome the weekend in style.  Here comes the weekend which means that from my son’s perspective Papi is staying home and therefore the days will be much more fun and beautiful.  They will also pass by faster.  I can’t reinforce enough the idea of a three-day weekend and how much families would benefit from it.  As a matter of fact, even work days will benefit from a long break between them since I’m sure that productivity level starts going down by Thursday evening when the thought of 5:00 PM on Friday is all people can think of.  I love the modern chandelier in this chic space.

If it’s freezing where you are.  I have one word for you, Beanie!  Who would’ve thought that a bigger size beanie was going to be something fashionably chic?  No one saw that coming but it did, frequently and mostly last year.  But since it’s just January and it’s blistering cold in the States I thought it would be a great idea for some chic inspirations on how to wear a beanie.  From veiled beanies to plain ones here is a bunch.
