Interior Designer Mark D. Sikes assisted the homeowner of this charming Montecito vacation home in updating the decor by incorporating new finds and antiques. The result is a classic American style in Mark’s signature palette of blue and white. Pastel color and chintz fabrics mingle with natural textures like sisal rugs, an antique wicker chair, and dark wood antiques. The coral chandelier was repainted in white.
The very feminine decor can be more appreciated in this corner of the living room where chairs upholstered in pink surround an ornate white table. Classic blue and white plates decorate the fireplace mantle.
The beautiful Bali ikat wallpaper by China Seas was, along with the curtains already in the master bedroom which Sikes enhanced by adding a few touches as incorporating more of the color green. An Anglo-Indian inspired bench adds a tropical feel to the master bedroom.
French bistro chairs in the breakfast area. Love the Elsworth Kelly painting.
Another view of the bedroom with upholstered headboard. The chairs that were initially in the living room are upholstered in a checkered blue and white fabric.
