Clare Waight Keller Parisian Apartment & A Sneak Peek Of Her Givenchy Office

If you are into fashion then you already know by now that Clare Waight Keller has left her role as Artistic Director of Givenchy. While it’s unknown the reason for her departure, some hint at the insufficiency of sales growth. There is no doubt that this world upending pandemic has come to change the way we live and possibly the way many people work. Conde Nast has recently announced pay cuts and potential job eliminations as the economy continues to slow down.

Clare Waight Keller was the brand’s first female artistic director. Her position lasted three years during which she commuted from London, where her family lives, to Paris. Prior to serving as Artistic Director for Givenchy, Clare spent seven years at Chloe. I’ve seen photos of her Parisian apartment, but it is her Instagram account where we could see snippets of her Givenchy office that most inspired me. Below, I’m posting a mingling of the two.

The Grand Salon – part of the sitting room where I sat and met Hubert de Givenchy last September. It was about 10 days before my first show and he had been in the South of France most of the summer. The curtains were more open when I visited which revealed the gorgeous green gardens beyond. We sat for an hour and a half talking about fashion and life and of course about Audrey. He was striking in his stature standing at nearly 6 ft 5 inches but gracious and funny. Aristocratic elegance was everywhere but personal touches too, and hints of the things he loved. It was a unique experience that will never be repeated but one hard to forget. #hubertdegivenchy #hautecouture

Clare’s Parisian apartment was published in WSJ four years ago when she was still Chloe’s Artistic Director. The apartment has the spirit of Chloe in the sense that it has a nonfussy decoration where furniture and accessories from different backgrounds seem to blend artistically. Her Givenchy office always beamed with gorgeous flower arrangements.

My Haute Couture home 🖤 @givenchyofficial – this weekend we open our doors for the JOURNÉES PARTICULIÈRES at the founding Maisonette on Avenue George V. This event, which happens only once every few years, is to show the beauty of the private salons where our Couture appointments take place and the exquisite Atelier craftsmanship from our tailors. 🖤 #jplvhm #paris #hautecouture #interiors
