Daphne Guinness home de signed by Daniel Romualdez
Daphne Guinness’ apartment in New York City was designed by Daniel Romualdez and its owner’s unique style is interpreted in various ways especially through the abundance of mirror covering walls throughout the space. I love the combination of modern art and classic elements such as the folding screen covered in chinoiserie, the Louis XVI style chair and modern art by Damien Hirst.

I am a big fan of scenic wallpaper but when it comes to choosing a favorite between geometric or scenic wallpaper, I can’t.  While a scenic wallpaper evokes the elegance and aristocracy that no other wallpaper offers, geometric wallpaper can give more freedom when it comes to decorating because, in my opinion, they work more as a uniform background. I love all of these images below and how young and versatile they look.  Does anyone know who makes this wallpaper? I’ve seen it used a couple of times but none of the images credit the source. It’s not Kelly Wearstler’s trellis, in case you think otherwise. This is more rounded, while Kelly’s trellis are bigger and it changes vertically from round to rectangular shape.

Kelly Wearstler’s tabletop is impeccably beautiful and a great option now that we’re approaching Christmas. This collection will make a drop dead fabulous Christmas table, but at more than $100 a piece it is mostly out of reach. But, I was glad to came across this new china by Crate and Barrel that creates a similar dazzling effect. I think I found an alternative tabletop for my Christmas table.

I covet summer and although this past Saturday was a gorgeous day in the city; today Sunday, is a complete different story. It’s looking and feeling a lot more like fall. I’m not complaining here. The fall season certainly has its beauty. It’s the neither-hot-nor-cold temperatures that unnerve me. When I found these beautiful images through SDA Decoration, made me want to own a winter cottage with timber paneled walls to keep the warm feeling of nature indoors throughout fall and winter. Each panel measures 50 by 50 in case one of you is interested.

How silly of me hoping that you would share my feelings after we met. It’s been two weeks since we last saw each other and I can’t stop thinking of you. Silenced by the perfection of your body and your seductive rustic, perfectly done skin, I couldn’t tell you for how long I’ve been coveting you. Ever since I saw your roving presence overshadowing the already cute Nate Berkus’ office, I was forever enchanted by your charm. How naive of me. It didn’t occur to me that perhaps you would just be one regular mortal contaminated by the world’s greatest sin, greed. There goes my love, with your hunger for more. Always more. But for three thousand dollars am I hanging like this? Just not fair.

I’ll go away to a place where your beauty and reality will be surpassed.
