Bryan Ferry’s London Abode

Not all rock stars live in dark leather covered spaces with skulls hanging from the walls.  This cozy and elegant home belongs to Bryan Ferry, the front man in The Roxy Music band.  Bryan designed his home himself in a very quintessentially British style where comfort takes center stage in the form of comfortable furniture from various periods collected during his travels, beautiful textile and his own collection of ceramics.  “Fabrics are important,” he says,  “because I don’t go for that hard-edged modern look; I like frayed edges.” I couldn’t agree more.

Bryan Ferry is having a concert in Bucharest this September. I will definitely go. 🙂 Love the ceramics. Hope you're having a wonderful week, Julie! xo

    Julie,

The decor looks intelligent and cheerful.
It goes to show, you cannot judge a book by it's cover. And that's not saying anything terrible about the rock star.

The Moroccan rug looks great. Interestingly enough, last month (at the very last day of the NY Gift Show), I had an opportunity to buy a similar one, but upon close inspection, decided not to. I sort of regret it now.
